Virtual Session FAQs

What technology do I need for a virtual organizing session?

1

Virtual organizing sessions can be conducted through Zoom, Glip, video call, or phone, depending on your comfort level and technology preferences.

All you'll need is:

  • A smartphone, tablet, or computer

  • An internet connection (for video sessions)

  • A way to move your camera around the space or prop it up while you work

Don't worry if you're not tech-savvy. I'll guide you through the setup process before our session so you can feel comfortable and confident.

I'm not very good with technology. Can I still work with you?

2

Absolutely.

Many of my clients are new to video calls or prefer a simpler approach. We can work together using whatever method feels most comfortable for you, including phone calls combined with photos of your space. The goal is to make organizing easier, not add more stress.

Can you work with clients outside of California?

3

Yes.

Because sessions are conducted virtually, I can work with clients anywhere in the United States. Whether you need help organizing a craft room, home office, kitchen, paperwork, or an entire home, we can create a customized plan that works for your space and lifestyle.

What can I expect from a virtual organizing session?

4

Every session is personalized to your goals, space, and lifestyle, but most virtual organizing sessions follow a simple process:

1. We assess your space together
Using video or photos, you'll show me the area you'd like to organize. We'll identify what's working, what's creating frustration, and what you want the space to accomplish.

2. We create a plan
Together we'll determine the best place to start, establish priorities, and create a realistic strategy based on your time, energy, budget, and organizing style.

3. You take action with expert guidance
As you work in your space, I'll coach you through decision-making, decluttering, sorting, categorizing, and creating systems that fit your daily life.

4. We troubleshoot in real time
Stuck on what to keep? Unsure where something belongs? Need a better solution? I'll help you work through obstacles as they come up.

5. You leave with a clear path forward
By the end of the session, you'll have made meaningful progress and you'll know exactly what your next steps are. If desired, we can schedule follow-up sessions for accountability and continued support.

What can virtual organizing be used for?

6

Virtual organizing is incredibly flexible and can be used for:

  • Decluttering support

  • Body doubling and accountability

  • Creating organizing systems

  • Craft room and studio organization

  • Paperwork and home office management

  • Downsizing and life transitions

  • Moving preparation and unpacking plans

  • Time management and workflow challenges

  • Resetting a space that feels overwhelming

  • Developing habits that support long-term organization

Sometimes clients need a full organizing plan. Other times they simply need support, momentum, and a clear next step.

What is body doubling?

7

Body doubling is when someone works alongside you, helping you stay focused and on task.

Many clients find it easier to make progress when they have a dedicated appointment, a supportive guide, and someone helping them work through decisions in real time. You do the physical work while I provide structure, accountability, encouragement, and problem-solving support.

What if I don't have a full organizing project?

8

That's perfectly fine.

Some clients book a session simply to get expert advice, troubleshoot a specific problem area, or create a plan before tackling a project on their own.

You don't need to be overwhelmed or preparing for a major home transformation to benefit from a session.

Virtual sessions can be used for:

  • Body doubling and accountability while you work

  • Troubleshooting a challenging space

  • Creating a customized organizing plan

  • Developing systems that fit your lifestyle

  • Getting unstuck on a project you've been avoiding

  • Learning organizing skills and strategies

  • Preparing for a move or unpacking project

  • Organizing a craft room, home office, paperwork, or a single problem area

  • Receiving product recommendations before making purchases

  • Understanding why clutter keeps returning despite your best efforts

Some clients make significant progress during the session itself. Others use virtual sessions as ongoing support and accountability while working through larger goals.

Whether you need a complete home reset or simply a focused hour of expert guidance, virtual organizing can help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and momentum.
